Panel 1: Indoors/Evening. Medium shot of BILL, VALERIE, and ROSEMARY. BILL and VALERIE are sitting at a two-seater in the restaurant. ROSEMARY is standing nearby holding two plates of burgers and fries. Behind them are a series of windows looking over the hotel’s garden area.

CAP:
Twenty minutes later…

ROSEMARY:
Hope you don’t mind hamburgers; nothing else was prepped out.

BILL:
Not a problem.

VALERIE:
I’m hungry for anything.

Panel 2: Medium shot. ROSEMARY pulls up a chair to sit next to BILL and VALERIE. BILL has both hands on his burger and has already taken a bite.

MUM (over BILL’S head): (mumble. Used like a sound effect, but meant to be something the character says or whispers.)
Mmmm.

VALERIE:
Is there a reason why you’re closed tonight?

ROSEMARY:
Dunno. We have a catered event tomorrow for this clothing company, but that’s never stopped us before. I just wish I found out before I got here.

BILL:
Wuf’but te Cummat?

Panel 3: Continuing shot. VALERIE is looking at BILL upset as BILL looks back at her as if to say, “What?”

ROSEMARY:
No, Trevor’s not the type to believe in this comet stuff. He’s –

SFX (carries over from panel three to panel four. Bizzzt should look diffeent than the rest):
KRA-KOOM-OOM-bizzzt-OOM

Panel 4: Black, except for speech bubbles which will be over the character’s locations.

VALERIE:
Oh my god! That must have been right on top of us!

ROSEMARY:
The power’s out!

BILL:
Calm down, you two. I have a lighter.

Panel 5: Tight shot of BILL’S hand flicking a zippo. The zippo is lit.

SFX:
flick

Panel 6: Medium shot. VALERIE is holding on to one of BILL’S arm and looking at ROSEMARY while ROSEMARY holds onto the other one. BILL has his lighter in the middle of the shot and is also looking at ROSEMARY. ROSEMARY is sheepishly looking at BILL.

ROSEMARY:
Sorry. It was scary.
